If you are anything like me… you probably have 100,000 screenshots on your phone of things you didn’t want to forget. But of course you forget anyways .. they quietly disappear into the never-seen-again abyss of your camera roll… only to randomly resurface when you’re looking for something completely different once in a lifetime.
And every now and then, I find one again and think:
Ohhh… this would have been exactly what I needed for this situation.
Or: I wish I could show this to someone right now.
Over time, I realised I’ve saved a huge collection of motivational quotes. Some that I deeply related to myself back then (and sometimes now as good reminders) and others that I wished my kids, or even the “grown-up kids” I work with could read and truly understand.
Because sometimes it’s not really about motivation. It’s about finally seeing something in words that helps you understand yourself a little better… and not feel so lost .. or alone.
At some point, I started wondering what’s the point of saving all of this… if it just gets lost and I have been wondering what the best way would be to deal with this in a better and more purposeful way.. And then I thought about Instagram.
So I decided to create a space where these thoughts don’t disappear. Not because Instagram needs another motivational quotes account,I honestly don’t think it does.
And I’m not trying to build something polished or strategic here.
This is simply a little treasure chest place for myself and for the people around me.
So if you ever feel like you need a small reminder, a different perspective, a little boost or just something to read before going to sleep, you might find something there.
Don’t expect a schedule. Some days there might be five new posts. Then maybe nothing for two weeks. Depending on how I feel and the time I have. But I’ll keep adding to it.
Enjoy! @wildminds_brightfuture
